We believe children should have access to songs that will help them feel better and build coping strategies.
Fischy Music writes songs for and with children. Our songs are accessible and inclusive, linking to the Health and Wellbeing curriculum for 3 - 12 year olds, bringing hope and reminding individuals of their innate value.

Songs
Songs are at the heart of everything we do. There is significant scientific evidence that singing, reduces stress, improves immunity and physical health and aids memory and learning.
We write and produce songs that are used face-to-face, in schools and with families and church groups. Fischy songs such as ‘Build Up’ and ‘You are a star’ are part of the everyday lives of children, schools and families across the UK and beyond.
Event and projects
Every year our team work face-to-face with thousands of children in schools, nurseries, churches and community settings. This can range from a 45 minute workshop through to a 3 year project. We primarily work with children aged 3 - 12 years and in a typical week this might involve a concert at a music festival, some schools days and a teacher training session. We partner with schools and organisations including Fife Youth Music Initiative, Seasons for Growth (www.seasonsforgrowth.org.uk), NHS Forth Valley and St Columba’s Hospice.

Fischy Music has years of experience providing musical input into an extremely wide range of concerts and musical gatherings.
Resources
Our songs are used every day in many different settings in the UK and beyond. In the early days of Fischy this was largely through music books and CDs but over the past 5 years we have pioneered a hugely innovative digital streaming service called Fischy Music Online.
Schools and churches: Fischy Music Online is the main way our songs are used, and there are hundreds of song videos, learn the song videos and symbol movies streamed online to thousands of children daily in schools and churches. Additional content includes audio tracks, backing tracks, teacher notes, lyrics, circle time and sheet music. Subscribers can search by outcome and find the relevant songs that deal with specific themes e.g. resilience, bullying, grief. Similarly it is possible to search by song and identify the relevant curriculum areas.
Families & Children: Our music is available on all major platforms, such as Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube. We also have a free Fischy Music video website for children to access themselves to support their mental health at: www.fischytunes.com.
Training
The purpose of our training is to equip adults working with children to use Fischy songs confidently and effectively in their work. We believe everyone can sing and that singing is hugely beneficial for all ages. Our aim is that participants leave our sessions with increased knowledge and skills in using Fischy resources to support children’s education across the curriculum.
