Fischy Music - fun and helpful music for kids

Fischy Ltd began life as The Royston Trust, which was formed in 1998, and is a registered charity (SCO28474). It became a charitable company limited by guarantee in October 2007. Fischy Music is its trading name. Fischy Ltd is administered by seven Directors (see below).

Values & Beliefs :
Rooted in the Christian faith, Fischy Music works directly with children to promote:

development of a healthy emotional, mental, physical and spiritual life
harmony, based on the principles of building an awareness of self and of other people, positive self esteem, respect for others, prevention of bullying and the equality of all people
healthy relationships and caring, just, responsible and supportive communities which aim to reconcile differences
creative use of music, song, actions, signing, drama, poetry and mime, to build up and support children and their communities
effective personal and social and religious and moral education

We work with schools, churches and other organisations, engaging children in thinking and discussion about life issues. We also offer training for adults in the use of Fischy resources to promote our charitable objectives.

Fischy Music creates songs and resources, which are inclusive and appropriate for all children regardless of outlook on life or religious belief.

The role of the Directors
The Directors’ responsibilities may be summarised as:

Establishing clear strategic, business and financial objectives
Ensuring that the organisation operates within the law and within limits set by its Deed
Ensuring that the organisation exercises responsibility in financial and other affairs and remains solvent
Monitoring and reviewing all aspects of the organisation's performance
Ensuring that the organisation demonstrates best practice in all aspects of its work
