Stephen Fischbacher - Creative Director
Born in Glasgow, I went to the same school for 12 years and sort of learned to play the euphonium. Started to play guitar at 10. Formed The Dragons aged 11, with hits including Puff the Magic Dragon and Can It Be True. Played tennis, athletics, golf and broke several bones playing rugby.

Worked in various jobs after leaving school including as an orderly in an operating theatre, then went to Canada to study at a Bible College in Saskatchewan. Started writing songs for children in the early nineties, the first one being, ‘Let's all go fishing’. I love going fishing with friends to Sutherland, walks with my wife Erna, listening to U2, acoustic guitar music, the hour after I have been for a swim and seeing good films at The Filmhouse in Edinburgh.

What is the most embarrassing song in your CD or iPod collection?
The songs I wrote that never made it on to Fischy albums.

Where do you like singing most?
In schools with children and in church.

What is your idea of musical heaven?
Hearing the South African National Anthem sung at the end of the film Cry Freedom.

What is your idea of musical hell?
When you try to get people to sing and they won't sing.

Which instrument do you wish you could play?
Eulianpipes.

Which instrument are you most glad that you don’t play?
Stylophone.

Favourite song from primary school?
Puff the Magic Dragon.
